I love the background--very cool! Which tutorial did you use? David Brinnen has so many good ones...
Hello, my ears are burning.
OK well I don't know which one myself, but given I've got over 200 videos on my channel now http://www.youtube.com/user/davidbrinnen which I spent an entire weekend restructuring so that it is split up into what I hope are helpful playlists.
Also... while researching a hatching effect to go with the CEL shaders effect Horo and I are working on. I stumbled on something novel. I don't know if it is entirely a new discovery, but certainly I've never seen it before and I reckon on being fairly familiar with the DTE functions. So it is this, a way of creating extra high value negative or positive values to drive the material channels and bump effect.
Negative ambient? Yes.
Bump so extreme the normals are turned inside out? Yes.
Metalicity over 100 what happens? Weird and wild things.
Reflection over 100? Shadows turn bright (brighter than any light source seen in Bryce before) and reflected light is amplified.
So if you want to join in experimenting with extreme values here's some videos to get you started and a guide as to how to go about setting up the procedrual function.
