How do I apply a pose?

Okay, I must be an idiot (at least when it comes to Daz) but I can't get t-poses to work.  I have a Gen 8 female standing there in the "A" pose, and I go to the Posing/Shaping tab and in the Presets I see a number of T-poses in "Other" and clicking on them does nothing, even with the figure selected.  I can't get ANY of them to do much (one of them bends the legs slightly) except for the extreme poses, which work after I say "turn limits off".

All I want to do is get this figure in a t-pose (and then save the file).  Can anyone help?

G8Fs default positioning is an A pose so you will have to pose her manually to put her in a T pose. I think I saw a free pose for her somewhere but I can't find it again :(
