Differences between two products by Magix 101

Hi, I'm writing here basically because I don't know how to write to the vendor directly.
Yesterday I bought the product Worldbase-Xtreme-Kit (http://www.daz3d.com/worldbase-xtreme-kit) from Magix 101.
Later, however, I discovered also this one:
The All New Worldbase XT Lushlands (http://www.daz3d.com/the-all-new-worldbase-xt-lushlands)
What's the difference between them? They look two independent products.
Moreover, there is some confusion with the add-ons. For example,
the Trees and Skies Pak for WorldBase-XT (http://www.daz3d.com/trees-and-skies-pak-for-worldbase-xt) depends on Worldbase-Xtreme-Kit, while Desertlands Pak for WorldBase XT (http://www.daz3d.com/desertlands-pak-for-worldbase-xt) and other similar products depend on The All New Worldbase XT Lushlands.
Thank you for any clarification.

If you don't get an answer here try PMing Magix http://www.daz3d.com/forums/member/3623
The KIT was not built to work properly in DS but Extreme was updated to work 100% in DS.
Worldbase Xtreme is an older product. It's material settings are aimed at P5 and P6 as well as early versions of DS. It lacks many of the features you will find in the newer World base XT Lushlands. The tree and skies pack can be used in the Lushlands version. I don't have the older version loaded anymore so I can't test the desert and snow textures for Lushlands on it.
Since DAZ has a 30 day return policy, you can return the product you just purchased and purchase the newer version.
Worldbase XT doesn't work properly and leaves artifacts in the renders in one of the mountain rings in the back. This has never been solved that I know of.
Greetings,
I thought that was only if you used UberEnvironment lighting? (There were seams in the dome, or whatever, that surrounded it that showed up when using UE.)
There WAS an issue with the transparencies atop the trees, or the clouds in front of the mountains, but there was a fix, IIRC, involving a render mode, or bumping up some setting...long since forgotten, but definitely a PITA.
My problem with it was that it always rendered slightly darker than it should; it was weird that way.
Looked like a lovely set, and maybe if I killed off the dome (thus losing the sky) the base set would work out. Now you've got me thinking about merging it with Flipmode's Easy Environments, using the skybox with the Worldbase ground plane...
Anyway, it's an okay set, a really interesting idea, the execution was just a little flawed.

I really like the set, but I find that if I have to tweak things too much to get them to work properly then I don't use it. I remember there being a problem with the ring of mountains rendering with artifiacts. You can get the sky-grid to go away, but not the mountainous ring.
I''d love a set like this, I can use other light sets with. I didn't overly care for the lights included with the packet.
I was hoping for an update.
Thanks very much for all the replies.
I'll consider all the options: from writing directly to the vendor to to DAZ's 30-days refund policy.

I re-installed the original Worldbase Xtreme. Xtreme is a prop not a figure. In itself not a major issue if you are a DS user. If you are a Poser user, you need to load a figure in the viewport before loading the prop or you will have texture issues.
Being a prop, Xtreme is a single obj with material and morph poses. If you look in the pose folder you will see mat and mor poses. Mat are material poses for applying material settings and mor are morph poses that add and remove morphs from the prop.
There are camera settings for Poser and DS. The DS settings will function in any version. There are light settings for DS and Poser as well. Poser lights don't really work in DS and some older DS light set ups (this product dates from DS1 and 2) may need work.
There is also a road prop with Xtreme kit. You will need to adjust the scale of the prop when you add it depending upon your scene.
There are DS and Poser material and morph presets so you should have a decent starting place if you decide to keep it. However, you may need to tweak the textures as they were set up for earlier versions of DS.
UE lighting does not work with this product.
