Paint effect on 3d human model
Hi, I would like to obtain something like these two pics attached, either in DAZ before rendering, maybe, or with some pre or post wotk in PS.
Any idea how? Can Substance Paiinter be the solution and how? I mean retouching the texture body parts before using them. Thanks.

Nemanja has some very cool videos and covers just this technique.
Thanks! I would try later on.
For the first image if you're using Iray you can get that effect without using Substance or Postwork. Select the skin surfaces you wish to change, remove the Diffuse Maps, set a metal grey/gold/copper color of your choice, set Metallicity between .9 and 1.0. This will keep the bump/normal maps so the skin details will be below the metallic look. Here is an example render. I added some fibermesh brows since the original ones were part of the diffuse map.
Thank you for the detailed answer, I try that as well. It seems very good. I have some Eyebrows too! ????
That golden portrait is gorgeous!
Congratulations on a fine artwork. Love it!
Reminds of the golden girl from the James Bond Film "Goldfinger", except in the 007 film her hair was also gold colored.

But your version is stunning also. I must try your technique to make me one too!
I was trying few things based on what RobotHeadArt suggested, and I liked the results. I was playing with a product that contains some LIE maps, that go instead of the diffuse maps. If I can make some of them to give me the look of the paint with drops, I should be able to achieve what I was looking for originaly. I think.
Could you use Slime Attack https://www.daz3d.com/slime-attack-vol-1 with alternate shaders?
If you use LIE you will want to create a black and white map that goes into the Metallicity channel so that only the painted part is metallic looking and the skin part does not get the metallic effect.
I was looking at the product few days ago, and I think it couls be great to use. But apart from experimenting, I would really like to decide where to have paint dropping, I hope, but thanks for your time.
Thanks, I'll try that. At thr moment I'm a little bit confused about LIE and Bump Maps. Are the same things used in two different channel? Anyway, I'll try to learn how to make them, both of them, because I can see that they can be really usefull.
This is what I managed to do so far thanks to your suggestions! I did figured out few things in the process of doing it as well, so . . . great!
For the effect of dripping paint, I will try to draw some maps with PS and then put one in the bump channel and one in the metallic flakes channel.
Looks cool! Glad I could help.
