If you mean create a scene and then save it as a jpg, gif, png- before rendering- no. You can do screenshots but that's it. Did I answer it? Or are you just trying to do a pose preset?

That is what I thought the OP was asking Novica but I don't like to assume these things. :)

Thank you Szark and Novica for your answers. Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Does Daz have screenshot functionality?

No sorry it doesn't you will have to use either PrtScrn button on your keyboard and paste it in a image manipulation program like GIMP and save it as a png or use one of the many PrintScreen programs out there for free.

Thank you Szark, I do have Farstone Capture -- a favorite utility of mine. Appreciate your help.

I knew that :) Didn't know what your schedule was (aka if you were going to be popping back in) so thought I'd cover it either way. At least they knew what a screenshot was and how to do it- for the longest time, I was "How are they DOING that?"

For newbies who don't know- as he said, it's Prt SC at the top of the keyboard. If you have a graphics program (mine is Corel Draw) then I hit Crtl + V and it retrieves the image.

You could also render it out with lower quality render settings initially so it'll go quicker than a final render.

One thing I always say about all this is taht understanding of computers really helps with the learning how to do a lot of things like installing zipped content etc etc.

Also another alternative pauljacob11 is to do an OpenGL render, you will find the setting in the Advanced Redner engine under Render Engine drop down box. Yours will probably say 3Delight, change it to OpenGL and you should get a fairly quick render.

pauljacob, you can save render settings. I believe the video on render settings at DAZ's YouTube page covers that. If you create some different presets of your own, one of a quick render for this purpose, and a couple at higher settings that you like to render out at full quality, it makes switching settings quick and less prone to error.

No problem. (Ducking and avoiding a pop from Szark0 LOVE that term BTW! We call it a "jab" here in the U.S. Do you folks use that term in that context too? "Take a jab at someone..." (in fun)

Anyway, that's as technical as I get. It's absolutely true about having to be computer smart to do well with this stuff. (That's MY excuse for going at the speed of a turtle, and my apologies to the turtle for slander.)

LOL Yeah we don't use Jab much up here unless it is a proper jab in the sense of punching someone. LOL

I don't think a lot of people realise how much computer knowledge one needs when they start using this software. Even down to simple things like taking screenshots or unzipping zip files. I learnt that in my first year of learning how to use a computer where we had to download Winzip and install it ourselves now it is part of Windows. And some folks don't even realise you don't even need to unzip a file in Vista and above to see what is in the folder or even to copy the contents within the zipped file and paste it in the content folder. ;)

Nod's at Szark. Yep so true, I avoid telling users to just Open copy from a zip because not many understand that can even be done.
