Adding a dForce Modifier to anything causes a CTD

Apart from playing with dForce Essentials, I haven't spent much time with (or invested any money in) it yet. The included Bardot outfit behaves as it should, but adding a dForce modifier to anything, whether clothes or hair, always causes a CTD. "DAZ Studio has stopped working" etc., along with a popup that tells me my graphics driver stopped working but has recovered.
I've installed the most recent drivers--from Nvidia, not Windows Update--so I doubt if that's the problem...unless I need to roll them back (?). My system is also fairly robust--i7 CPU, 32gb system RAM, a 1080 TI and a 1080 GTX--so I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's the latest drivers. Roll back to 387.92. THose work for my 1080ti and Pascal Titan. Anything above that and I get non-stop fails.
Thanks, Doc, I'll certainly give that a try.
That is, I would have tried it if I was running Windows 10 instead of 7. I gave it a shot anyway, but the installer said 'Uh-uh.'
Guess I'll have to wait for the next driver update, or the one after that or...
@Blind Owl "That is, I would have tried it if I was running Windows 10 instead of 7."
What does this mean? The Nvidia drivers work for Windows 7 just fine.

Thanks for the link, fastbike1, although it's for 32-bit operating systems. Nvidia's main downloads page is virtually useless for finding earlier versions, but further Googling has turned up a 64-bit Win 7 version. I'll be downloading & installing it as soon as my morning coffee has kicked in.
I keep a Favrites link to the Geforce drivers page just because they have idiots redesigning their site every 3 weeks.

Good plan!
