Fixed: Save as Morph Asset ... Whuuuuuut ???

In a nutshell.  I've saved a character with a custom sculpted morph as a morph asset so that clothes will autofit.  This was on a G3.

When saved... this copies ALL morphs from EVERY vendor in EVERY folder in here E:\CG Content\Installed Content\My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 3\Female\Morphs

to here:  E:\CG Content\Installed Content\My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 3\Female\Morphs\me\Product

In short .. this process appears to duplicate everything.  Is that right?

I ask because now the Genesis 3 base figure is corrupted and only loads with the morph asset shape loaded and un-referenced in the parameters tab.

AND ... ALL G3 Female characters previously saved as scenes are now loading with this shape.

Should multiple characters be saved as morph assets in the same directory?  Because it looks like if they get their own directory, they'll each completely duplicate all morphs from all other folders over and over and over.

SOLUTION:  Delete the whole product file where you saved all your morph assets.  AND ... don't mess with ever saving ANYTHING as a morph asset again. AND turn in a bug ticket to DAZ

  • You had checked the figure name so it saved every morph it found on the figure. You need to expand the tree (by clicking the triangle button next to the check box) to fidn just your morph. Also make sure that the morph is zeroed and has a zero default value before saving it.
