    Star Fighter Pilot

You could try adjusting the saturation. It's a bit high, and particularly the planet ought to have a lower saturation to help the figure pop.

What is that suit? It looks practical and utilitarian, but not bulky.

If anyone's interested in the crossover between digital and traditional artists, here's an interview I did about my work. The digital stuff NPR starts at 2.28

    https://vimeo.com/261657828

sorry not sure how to get vimeo to show

    Interesting interview. Thanks for sharing.

thank you Artini :) Something that intrigues me as the two practices are the same and, then again, not the same at all ;)

    Red Planet

I modeled the airship in MOI3D & Hexagon3D. Texturing was done in 3DCoat as well as a basic 3D render.

Flying dinos and beast of burden where posed and rendered in DAZ Studio.

The rest (background, man with staff, trees, castle, sky, rocks, were painted in ArtRage & compositing in Photoshop.

I've been playing around with different shading and lighting techniques.  I didn't do my usual linework, these were quick renders.  Comments appreciated.  Please ans thank you.

Very cool, the style reminds me of a British pocket book cover from the late 60s, early 70s.

Maybe not perfect, but getting pretty close. The shading has a nice, comic book feel, good job! If possiblle, I might dull the lights on the windowa a bit and possibly alternate them a little, maybe even add a few figure outlines to break it up a little and dull their focus, but I wouldn't touch Batman at all unless you wanted to lighten his left foot a little...

This is QUITE STUNNING. The stark color choices really play well with the filter. I particularly like the way her shadow washes out near her; this is a perfect place where a more realistic shadow would actually work against the desired emotional impact of the illustration. Well done.

Definitely not for everyday use, but it's still interesting to look at. The changes to her face are positively alien... like something out of a horror movie.

I definitely think this is improved. The face looked very plastic in the earlier drafts. Well done.

I used Visual Style Shaders on the skin.  It really is the best toon skin shader I have.  In the earlier drafts, I was using another toon shader.  A lot of the DAZ toon skins seem to be going for a Toy Story type feel.  I'm still tweaking the VSS settings though.

I use to play an MMORPG called Star Wars Galaxies and later Knights of the Old Republic.  The name of my main character in both games was Seare Hawkeye.  That was the inspiration for this original Jedi Knight character.
