How do I see the full model while rotating the view?

Hi! I'm brand new to Daz3D 4.6 and I've mostly used Poser for the last 10 years.
I have a silly little problem which I know how to fix in poser but not in Daz3D
but I'm not quite sure how to explain it so I attach this image - hopefully it shows up somewhere in this post.

So my problem is:
When I load a model it looks all fine, but as soon as I start shaping or rotating, the model turns into
these weird floating angles and lines. What I want is to see the model shape or rotate in real time.
This was possible last I used Daz3D (too long ago) so I'm sure I've just missed an option somewhere.

Also, how do I change the background color from the white to, say, gray?
Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Go to Window > Panes > Tool Settings; under "During Manipulation" change "Draw Style" to "Use Current (Off)".

In the Viewport click the Options icon (the rectangle with horizontal lines) to change background color.

Thanks for the help, that seems to have worked!

Also apologies for the image that needed moderation, I did not mean to cause any grievance.

Just make sure the figure is untextured or has clothing on covering it up. You didn't cause any issues so don't feel bad about it.
