Is there a way in Daz to have one object give off the reflection another? Say like if a man was looking at himself in a pool of water and the reflection looking back at him was that of a woman?
You could do it with shader settings, I think, but it may be just as easy to do two renders and composite them (render once with the man, once with the woman, place one above the other in an image editor and erase portions of the upper render to show the lower figure).
Actually, easier than I recalled - apply uberSurface to both, from Shaders>omniFreaker>uberSurface, holding down the ctrl key 9cmd on a Mac) and setting the texture option to Ignore so that you don't lose your settings. Then set Fantom to On for the figure that should appear in the reflection and Raytrace to Off for the figure that should appear above water.
Thank you so much Richard I was able to accomplish the look I was going for with having to learn how to do post work. you can see the picture (both before and after your help) here http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/22568/

Good call Richard.
Thread saved which hopefully will help others if I come across this question again.

Glad to help, you've really taken the idea and run with it.
