Render Time in 4.10

I just updated to 4.10 and when I come to render 3 windows come up and it is just taking forever to render. What are the settings I should have and can I turn off Iray or not?

You select the render engine in the Editor or Advanced tabs of Render Settings. I don't understand what you mean by three windows coming up - usually you get the render window and the progress bar (which will be behind the render unless you have moved it). Changing DS version shouldn't affect this, unless they were separate channels (release vs. public beta).
