Daz4.6 crashes on render
I've been playing around with the new daz4.6 and it seems I can't render it with out crashing the program
I don't receive any error message or anything just poof the program crashes ..
it appears to crash no matter how i set the lighting and it crashes on spot rendering.
the only thing i could find was on the log file. It has done it on numerous scene and sets I have tried using.
I did a complete uninstall and did a clean reinstall and still the same thing happens it crashes on render.
anyone got any Input?

According to this, you are running out of memory. What OS are you using, and how much RAM is there in your system?
When you run a render (assuming windows) have a look in the Task Manager to see how much RAM is being consumed.

I'm not running out of memory that is for sure. the system i load daz4/6 on is a win 7 64byte 3.33 ghz with 12 gigs of ram

I took a snip-it of what i am trying to render and my performance reading .. as you can see I'm barely using any of my resources

It looks like you are using the 32 bit version of DAZ Studio, and any 32 bit program will only have 4 GB of RAM available, no matter how much you have on your system. Is the PC actually rendering when you took that screenshot, I can't tell from the image, but it doesn't look like it, and it would leave very little memory for rendering.
If you have a 64 bit system, you would be much better to use the 64 bit version of DS4.6

well than I guess I won't be able to use this version either of daz either.
because Animate2 & some of ther light plugins do not come in 64 byte, that is why i loaded the 32 byte version just because some of the plugins don't work in 64byte
which i need in order to do animation. rather silly to limit how much memory can be allotted to use by a program.
As far as I know, Animate 2 is a 64 bit plugin, I have it on my 64 bit version of DS, and it works fine. I believe that there was one plugin that only worked on 32 bit, but I can't remember what it was now.
The memory limit is not imposed by DAZ 3D, it is a physical restriction, since 32 bit addresses can only address up to 4GB of RAM before running out of numbers. It used to be restricted by Microsoft in XP to 2 GB.

I did as you suggested and installed 64byte., it did resolve the crash on render issue like you said, I did a quick render for you this was one raytrace. and 1 deep showdow map spot. and it rendered great,
and I only lost 2 plugins which are really for poser anyway. Animator and light-dome2

Yes, some of the plugins were not updated, like Animator, I have it myself. And Dreamlight didn't update LD2, but you never know, maybe in the future. There are far fewer problems with the 64 bit version during renders.
