page glitch when logging in with Safari

Safari 5.1.7 gives me this error whenever i login to the site.
just thought i'd mention it for posterity :)
hoping changing from ff to safari will help with this sites cache problems etc

Yes the leading "." has been there for months (a fully unqualified address? :lol:) I open a new tab to login (right clicky => open in new tab) and refresh the unlogged in page. Is the only consistent issue I have with Safari/Mac

safari browser has a cleaner look. the extra room is nice on my lil 11" netbook screen
