Charlotte 8 red cast?

I picked up Charlotte 8 Pro package along with the HD morphs.   In doing a test render, found the skin and whites of the eyes had a very red cast.   Scene was very simple; just the character, hair, and two light-emitting panes in a clamshell setup.  Color temp set to 5500.

In the attached image, the background shows the red cast.  Didn't matter how long I left the render; even to completion, red cast still there.  The overlay with the better skin tones is the Aisling skin applied to Charlotte 8.  Same exact light-emitting panes.

So appears to be a bug (improper material settings) with Charlotte 8.  Anyone else seeing this? From other threads showing off renders with Charlotte 8, all looks well though.

System: iMac Pro, Radeon Vega 56, Daz Studio Pro Edition (4.10.0.123)

  • Anoter image showing the issue; all characters I have (Gen 8, Aisling, Charlotte 8, Charlotte 8 HD, Marieke.  Charlotte's eyes still have a red cast.  Her ears a bit green too as compared to the other figures.

  • I think I found the issue.  Charlotte 8's skin by default uses a SSS mode of color vs mono.  This along with a couple other settings (e.g. Base Color Effect being 'Scatter only' vs. 'Scatter and Transmit').  Anyhow, I copied over a few of the settings from Marieke until I got a much more natural-looking skin tone.

    The whites of the eyes no longer have a red tint which was the most concerning.
