I had a bit of a weird idea for this month, I call this "too much TV"

In German we have a proverb that goes like : "you will get square eyes when you watch too much TV" obviously something you tell your kids. I'm not sure if there is something similar in English

In Britain we also have a saying "If you watch too much TV, you'll get square eyes"  or sometimes it's "If you get too close to theTV, you'll get square eyes"

Saphirewild: Very nice use of square, and the churning/foaming effects you applied to the water really emphasize the whale's struggle to be free.

Thanks Dawn for the nice comments!!

@Saphirewild Very nice image. We need to free him (or her)

Thanks Xmasrose, She definately needs to be free!!

Your wierd idea looks great Linwelly.

My Grandmother was German but never told me about square eyes, that may be because the tv screens in the early 1950's were round. My mother always said if you watch to much tv you will get stupid like your father, we ignored her.

L'Adair: Great scene! I really like the reflections from the fire and light on the floor.

    Thank you, @dawnblade.

@Linwelly, I love your girl. She looks completely surprised her eyes turned square. As we all know, when you're that young, you're convinced things like that only happen to other people! (And my mom used to say sitting too close to the TV would make us go blind. Nothing about too much TV, though... But then, TV was still young when I was a child.)

Thanks a lot for the nie word @Saphirewild @deeleelaw and L'Adair ( with that apstroph the @ never works with you, sadly) and yes sitting too close was always a matter as well, well that one lacked necessity since CRT monitors got replaced :D

TV wasn't an issue, but I firmly believe that sitting at my desk, staring at a CRT monitor for years, did my eyes in.  Before I had excellent eyesight.  I could see individual fibers of the end of thread that prevented it from feeding through the eye of the needle.  I could then straighten it so it would cause a problem any longer.  Now I wear 3-way transitional glasses.  angry  Flat panel monitors should have been invented in the late 80s, so I would have been saved this injustice!   blush

Nice, @nattaruk. The colors are great, along with the lighting. Love the blue reflecting off the fae. Any idea where they are going?
