How To Reset What Daz Thinks Is The Floor Or Ground Level For A Scene

in New Users
Let's say I'm working on a scene with a pool and a deck. All the figures would be interacting on the deck. But when I click CTRL-D to set a figure onto the "ground", it moves it down the Y-Axis below where the action is.
Can I set the "Ground" level to be the deck level? Same would go for a balconey, rooftop, wherever.

The simple option is to lower the ground to y = 0. A slightly fiddlieroption is to plae a plane (say) at the desired level, select it and then the content you wish to drop, open the Align pane, set the Y Axis option to Align the bottoms of the elements, and click Apply.
Thanks so much, Richard!
