Texturing the Genesis Male Gens?

Question: How would one go about creating there own textures for the M5 genitals? I've tried, but the genital Materials don't match up to the rest of the figure's textures.

The top part of the gens has to match up to the edges of the Hip material. It's pretty difficult to match this up manually in 2d; most artists use some sort of 3d program with which to do it (Zbrush and 3dcoat both work, Blender is harder to use for this).
Alternately, make a texture for the M4 gens, match it up as best you can, and transfer it to/fix it up for M5 using the Map Transfer utility plus a 2d program. I've had this work pretty well when I had an M4 character set to work with.
Here's a tutorial on Map Transfer: http://sickleyield.deviantart.com/journal/Tutorial-The-Map-Transfer-Utility-368686796
I'm having to get on a budget, so buying new software is out. Looks like blender is the route I'll have to go.
Make sure you have the latest version, use the biggest resolution version of the body texture that you can, and learn all you can about the external editing feature in texture paint mode:

Thank you for the tutorial, SickleYield.
I was just enlightened to this great feature in 4.5 by DavidGB in another thread, and I have been going round in circles trying to get it to work.
Your tut was just the thing I needed (missing element was dragging my MAT onto the Template; Would have never discovered on my own).
Thanks again, you're the best!
You're very welcome!
