Soaking wet
I want to give a character in a render the appearance of just having stepped out from a shower, and in another scene of being covered in perspiration. I have found two items for sale in the daz store but i am not sure if i know enough to be able to sue them. The items are V4 wet maps and GKD skin ultimate, the latter is for Carrara. Can anyone tell me in plain English if both these will work for me in DS4.5, and also point me in the direction of tutorials and help relating to use of maps and so on. I can navigate my way around surfaces, i can edit for example some texture maps. i assume they are maps anyway, to lighten the skin tone or add say a tattoo to a character. I need to know if i spend this money will i be able to use the item. I just found another called Universal wet maps and orcamaid. Help please
PS. Is there something like EZskin 2 which is a poser exclusive and not suitable for DS. Bearing in mind i use a Mac and would need some guidance with installation of scripts which are a bit of a dark area for me.

The Carrara one won't work on DS. THe V4 one does say it has settings for DS
However this one may be better, as it is optimised for DS http://www.daz3d.com/wet-body
Thank you for the advice. I decided to get wet body thing, it works of course, now all i have to do is find some help in the LIE. Look at me using acronyms for things i dont understand, can someone point me to some education of this please
The Installer comes with a FULL PDF. Look in the Readme and Tutorial folders after install. Use a File browser not DS to find it. I copy all Tut's to a Separate folder for easy use later if the item comes with one.
Sometime the PDF is a separate file you can put any place you like. I'm not sure about this as I do not have it (yet).
the question remains will these work when the uvmapping of the skin textures are set to genesis and not V4?
Yeah I know they use LIE but don't they have any joining seams?
Yeah I don't have wet maps either and I was just playing devils advocate. ;)
