Section Lines Rendered on Model

After a render using default settings, I'm seeing section lines on certain parts of my model, which is based on Victoria 5 Supermodel and appears to have been automatically converted to Genesis.

For clarification, I'm attaching an enlarged cropped image showing one of the effected areas.

Any tips on why this is happening and how it can be eliminated would be greatly appreciated.

If there is already a tutorial covering this, please let me know which one and I will check it out.

Thanks very much for any information you can provide.

V5 is a morph of Genesis, the same as all Generation 5 figures.

It looks like your shading rate is a bit high, go to the Render Settings Tab, Advanced, and set it 0.5 or less, usually 0.2 is used for final renders. If that doesn't clear it up, I can only think that you have the wrong UV set applied in the surfaces tab for the model. It defaults to V4 for Genesis, so it may need to be changed to V5. You will find it at the bottom of the surfacs pane under UV Set.

    JimmyC_2009:

The default Shading Rate in Render | Render Settings | Advanced is 2.00.

Setting it to 0.20 did the trick.

Thanks very much for the prompt tip!

The SR will stay at whatever you set it to last.

I sometimes set it to 4.0 or 5.0 for test renders, but is is important to set it back again, and I often forget too.

Glad that fixed it for you.
