V.4.2 ghost image

I have found that with V4.2 in Poser 2012 with the lights turned off produces a rust colored faint image. I even used the Python Utility to remove all lights.
In Preview the picture is black (no lights) as it should be. However, when I render, there is a faint red image of V4.2. This is a newly created file with everything set to the default. The problem is that it's contaminating the shadows. Does anyone know why this is happening?
The attached image is actually not V4.2, but that's just because I did not want to set up another test. Same results with V4.2. It's dark so you need to view in a shaded environment. I have no idea how to get rid of the red.
Thanks,

You probably have a little bit of ambient in there. Look at the surfaces tab and check the ambient color and strength. This effectively adds a 'glow' to objects, allowing them to be seen in low light conditions. By zeroing the strength or setting it to black, you can disable it entirely.
You don't appear to have actually attached the image, so it is difficult to understand what it is that you want to achieve, but as HoF says, if there is a texture on your figure, then something in the setting could well allow it to be seen.
OK. Here's the Image. I'll check the ambient. Thanks for that.
Here are the default settings. Ambient is black. No lights. BTW, the red ghost is very faint so you need to look at the black image in a relatively dark room.
Here's the rest of the settings.
If you look, you'll notice in the Ambient_color, there's a faint red. Further, the ambient_value is at 1.0. This is what's causing your glow. Type zero into the ambient value to remove it.
Great! I'll give that a try. Thank you.
You were right. That fixed it. The color picker is awkward. Hard to select a color. Lastly, is there away to universally change the ambient or do I have to do each map individually? I know you can SHIFT select SSS from the macro list. Again, thanks for the help.
