How to change hair symmetry (mirroring)?

Eva1Eva1 Posts: 1,249

I have a hair with a parting and more of the face showing on one side (kind of like in this picture https://www.daz3d.com/edit-hair-for-genesis-2-females) but I'd like it to be on the other side - is there a way to mirror this so it's on the other side? I know you can mirror poses but I haven't been able to do it for hair? Is it possible?

Do you want to pose the hair? If not then:

    1) Fit the hair to figure

    2) Make the figure (character) invisible

    3) Export as OBJ (Make sure to tick: Ignore invisble nodes)

    4) Reimport the exported OBJ into the scene

    5) select the exported OBJ and dial its X scale to -100%

    6) Parent the hair to figure's head.

    7) Reapply textures to hair if neccesary.

Problem with this method is that your new hair is a solid unposable brick.

Or just show hidden properties and dial X scale to -100%.

Just tried it.  It's so easy it's not funny.
