The shader mixer brick "Light Decay"

I am trying to tweak the light attenuation and i found the brick "Light Decay" in the shader mixer. Does anyone know how to use it? Where is the output supposed to go?

It only works with the Gel Light, Point Light & Spot Light root bricks, with one of those three loaded into the work space, you click on the bricks options menu (top right of each brick) and select "show advanced", a new connection called "Decay(1/r^2)" should now be visible on the root brick, that's where you plug in the decay brick.
