The product is for Poser, so although it should work in Daz Studio, it won't be a simple install.  I haven't tried this myself because I have Poser installed, but I imagine this should work:

Poser uses a folder called Runtime, where it stores all content - figures, poses, materials etc.  Usually, Renderosity products come as a .zip file.  Try making a new folder on your content drive - name it something like Poser Content (not really important what you call it).  Then unzip the product into that folder.

Go to your Content Library in Daz Studio.  Where it says Daz Studio Formats, see if you have a folder called Poser Formats.  If so, then right-click on it and select Add a Runtime Directory.  If you do not have a Poser Formats folder, right-click in the grey area underneath Daz Studio Formats and select Add a Base Directory.

Now navigate to the Poser Content folder that you made earlier and click OK.

Your new content should appear in the folder under Pose.

EDIT: I forgot to add, but maybe not obvious - you will need to load Victoria 4 from your Daz content before you try to apply the Poser content.

  • Is the content drive in daz 3d content or just anywhere on my computer

Put it outside of the Daz Studio folder.  For example, I use Drive E: for programs and Content.  So I would make a new folder on Drive E: for the Poser content.

  • I'm a bit confused where is the daz studeo formate tab at can you show me a screen shoot because i have no idear

It's in the top left of your screen.  I've annotated part of your screenshot - should make it easier to see.

  • Is it DS native content or Poser native content?

The DS stuff unzips to the 'Content' folder (there should be a 'data' folder if any geometry, and a 'Runtime' folder if any textures.  The rest goes where you like under 'Content' (e.g. 'Content\Props\Sunflower')

The Poser stuff unzips to the Runtime folder (There should be a 'Runtime' folder at the top of the zip, if not, look for it further down.  Then 'Geometries/Textures' folders and a 'Library' folder containing 'character/props/pose').

To see Poser native content you need to set up DS to look for it - it'll be in a different section to your DS native content.

Edit: Preferences - Content - Content Directory Manager -  then click 'New' and add the folder just above the 'Runtime' folder.

  • Merged two threads on the same topic.

I am assuming that you also got the install manager and content library back up and running.  Glad that you've got it all sorted and can finally get around to using your new product.
