Opinions?

I've just finished redoing my Daz runtime (thank you Daz for the simplicity). Now I'm moving on to making my nightmarish Poser ones. What I'm wondering, and yes I realize you can do it however you want, I'm wondering if it really makes any difference whether you say, have a Victoria 4 top folder with sub folders of hair and clothing, etc, or since so many designers make clothes to fit V4, A4, G4, S4 too, and hair with some adjusting will fit any character, should I just put Clothes and Hair, etc in their own top folders outside of the V4 one??

Thoughts?

Thanks!

  • I personally have my gen-4 runtime organised like this:

    Males:

    /Base Figures

    /Mats (for figures)

/Clothes (with a tag of 'M4' if it's for M4 only - though getting clothes to fit the other figures is easier now in DS with morph-follower)

    /Poses

    Same for Female:

Then hair I leave in its own section as hair can more easily fit any figure.

I put weapons (that come with outfits) in their own folder too as they can easily mix+match with figures/outfits

Each time I install a new piece of clothing I go to its folder and rename each item with accordance to general cloth piece it is. I also add prefix G1/2/3 M3/4 V3/4 A3/4 example:

    G1 Shirt

    G2 Boots

    G3 Pants

    etc...
