Sean for David 5 - UVs are Genesis? Will it work with the Freak 5?

I'm interested in buying Sean for David 5, but I don't own David 5, nor care to buy him. I don't know much about these older figures. Does this use the Genesis UV? So if I want to use this skin with another G1 figure, like Freak 5, and not David 5, will it work without breaking at the seams?

    Sean will not work without David 5. He uses the David 5 UV, which doesn't line up with any of the other Genesis UVs.

    Actually, the answer to your question is both yes and no. You can't use the Sean morphs on Freak, but you can use the skin texture. Please see the image here of Freak wearing Sean's skin. This was rendered in 3Delight.

    Great, I guess I wasn't clear enough, but that's exactly what I wanted to do. I wasn't concerned about using morphs, just the skin texutres. so the answer is definitely YES. Thats awesome.

    I missed the sale anyway, he was going to be one of my three "match" item freebies. But it would be nice to get a definitive answer one way or the other, so I know whether to keep him in my wishlist for next time.

    He does. You absolutely cannot use any of the David 5 textures on any Genesis character if you do not have David 5.

    Ok, this makes sense now. Thanks for clarifying that. I guess I'll just throw David in the wishlist too, eventually I should be able to get the base figure for next to nothing with a Daz $6 coupon.
