Lol.. It will be released this week.
your check is in the mail.
I have never done this before
I only read the New York Times
It will be released this week
Male Version and Bundle is now live. Thank you for your continued support.
Thanks, already in my cart so I can check out when I get home from work :-)
Thank you for these- I can't wait to wade through the pack and see what I can come up with.
Ooh, great - I've been eagerly looking forward to the bundle since the G8F came out (thought I'd pick them up as a pair). I've got a lot of use from the previous generations (I have Genesis "1", 2 and 3 already) so this is a must-have!
YEAH!!!!!
Thank you, best of luck and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
I am a newbie to DAZ and forums so I hope I am posting this in the right place :). I got the aging morphs bundle and also several other morphing bundles. And now I can't seem to find many of the aging dials (e.g. Laugh lines). Does having too many morphs installed cancel out some of the dials?
I know this is subjective but is there any way to figure out what the ages would be as the morph is increased? eg, 20% = 30yo, 40% = 50yo etc. Zevo, you made presets in growing up, so maybe you have an idea of what you think they should be. the important ones are the lower percentages IMO (-50%) as after that its just old, older, and WOW.
No, it's more likely that you are not looking in the correct place in the long list of shapes. Have you tried clicking on All at the top of the Editor tab of the Parameters pane and then typing - in this case - line in the filter box?
I'm new to Daz Studio, so I'm having a little trouble installing this. In capture 1 I show how the layout of the unzipped folder looks.
So, in a vain attempt to set this up correctly, I moved the Aging Morphs Folders to inside the Genesis 8 Female folder, and the folder from shapes/aging morphs to shapes aging morphs. See Capture 2.
I seem to have mishandled this because it doesn't work, so I'm going to see if you can help me rearrange the folders and make this work before I copy over the male aging morphs.
Please help. I'm sure that my newbie understanding about how to install 3rd Party Content is making me screw up. There's something obvious that everyone else gets that I'm not comprehending.
Are you manually installing? Why are you moving the folders?
It was a manual install (I switched computers), but in my newbie way I didn't understand how to match the folder structure. I figured it out, and now it works beautifully. Thanks!
Good to hear , hat is a big step ,eventually you will learn there are things you can move and things you can't .All depends on whether or not you use smart content or not ,so enjoy the addiction!!
Zev0 - the promo pictures have very distinctly visible wrinkles; and I see them on the clay head samples. However when I apply them to the Genesis 8 male I have a baby faced sourpuss man rather than a wrinkled face male. While new, I do understand that skin plays into how the model will look, but I thought that the wrinkles would be more noticeable. Any tips?
Also, the promo images show the slider name as "!Aging Head Controller" however in DS the slider is called !Face Age Controller. There is no slider with the name indicated in the jpg. Thanks!
Hi. Wrinkle visibility depends on roughly 2 things. 1, your lighting (directional or even 360), and 2, how strong your tranclucency weight is on your skin. If too high it will eliminate a lot of HD details. **Edited
While I purchased both the G3 and G8 versions,... Yes, I am working with G8. The images below will show the model being used and the slider names.
Actually, while the wrinkles are great on the Shape Morph Present icon, they aren't really that noticeable when I change the viewport mode.
Thank you for this tip. Lighting is something I still need to work on learning. Changing the Translucency weight of the skin from the default 65 to a lower setting didn't not reveal the wrinkles any more prominently - instead I was looking at a pale face gent looking half ready for the grave.
Also to get the fine wrinkle details make sure the figures mesh resolution is set to render sub-d 3. Or if you want to see it in viewport without rendering, just set the sub lvl to 3.
Ah crap..........The G8 male version hasn't been renamed...sigh..ok I will have to do that and submit an update. Apologies.
Sub-d 3 - bingo! Now i am able to see the wrinkles. So much to learn with DS.
Thank you for your time and assistance. It was greatly appreciated.
It is.
And it has now been corrected into a duplicate formulas error in G8M, I'm afraid. It's the main !Aging Head Controller.dsf file, so unfortunately, it's not something we can do without.
The error message in the log file is:
2018-06-06 00:16:37.932 WARNING: fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(5970): Duplicate formula found linking Value & !Aging Head Controller in G:/DAZ 3D/Studio3/content/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 8/Male/Morphs/Zev0/Aging Morphs 8/!Aging Head Controller.dsf.
It repeats 30 times.
From the looks of the error message, I'm guessing that the issue is technically an absent value rather than an actual conflict with another product, since it says "linking Value..." and then doesn't tell you what the value actually is. I don't know how to check Property Hierarchy for something that isn't there.
The good news, at least, is that the controller seems to work, errors aside.
I know I should file a ticket, and I will, but dealing with Support over duplicate formulas these days is exhausting. I really wish they'd purge their database of the information regarding the error that original formula Genesis used to experience, because that's always their first response, and it's always wrong. It hasn't been the right first answer for any figure other than that one.
I'll check later today but DS reported a duplicate error and told me to check the log (which I didn't): so that may be what triggered the error for me. Can't look for a bit.
OK, now checked:
2018-06-04 16:19:20.159 WARNING: fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(5970): Duplicate formula found linking Value & !Face Age Controller in /data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 8/Male/Morphs/Zev0/Aging Morphs 8/!Face Age Controller.dsf.
It was manual, and both sliders are present. I'll remove the subdirectory in the data directory when I get back to that computer and see if that takes care of everything.
My install was via DIM
