Converting files question

I use a 3D printer and have been looking for a software program to model projects in so I can convert them for printing. While I'm certainly going to make an attempt to learn animation with this, my main question is how can I convert the 3D files to a printable file. My printer uses GCODE. I can convert from STL. Can I convert DAZ 3D files to printable files? Thanks
