Editing poser files for DS usage

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I can't find the answer using the search forums option. Is there anywhere I can get a list of the commands used in the poser files (.pp2, mc2, pz2, etc.)? I have become familiar with most of the things in them and can do simple stuff, but I could really use a complete list of the available commands and what they do, what the parameters are, etc. Can anyone point me to a manual or web page or any place that has that information? Thanks very much.

What are you wanting to do? The title says (which should have been repeated in the body text) that you want to edit them for DS use, but DS should geenrally be able to import Poser format content already (exceptions being dynamic clothes, though the dForce tool in the new beta should help there, dynamic hair, and shader-tree materials) - it would generally be more productive to import and rework the materials in DS natively.
Sorry for not repeating "Editing Poser files for DS usage". I am wanting to know how to manipulate the poser file structures so I can then save and use the re-coded files >>as poser files<< in DS instead of getting the manipulations made then saving them as .duf files. I want to be able to change materials, textures, positions, etc. I can do most of that already, but there are a lot of commands in the poser files that I can't figure out what they mean and do, using brute force or even experimenting around with them. I'm just looking for a manual or even a list of what the commands are that are used in Poser files. Do you know if such a manual or list exists, and if so, where I can find it?
Secrets of Figure Creation for Poser 5, by B L Render, covers a lot of what is needed - though I'm really not sure how much you will gain, DS already knows how to import what it can handle (with a few exceptions such as poses and props using .pmd files).
Mindsong: Thanks very much. The PFE looks like it may be what I've been wanting. I have never liked that I couldn't get into the DS files and muck around with the figure the way I can with Poser files. If this will let convert some of the DS commands back into Poser commands, then I won't have to do so much trial-and-error learning of the Poser file commands. There really should be a manual.
Richard Haseline: I'll find this book and see what it can offer. Hopefully, it will have an explanation of all the commands and params. Mucking around with the Poser files is more of a hobby for me than a necessity. I was a "hacker" decades ago when the only computers used punch cards and all hackers wore white hats and were out to help people, not hurt them (still am a white hat, btw), and I just love to play around with code to see that I can make it do. Beats basketweaving, I guess. Thanks very much.
The DUF file format, for the most part is simply a zip compressed file that you can open with any text editor.
It's too bad the popular media of the 1990's was allowed to corrupt the meaning of the term, as there are a lot of hackers out there that detestbeing mistaken for crackers.
