Is there a reason why my Daz doesn't come with a child model?

in New Users
So I'm not new at all...but I never thought about it until now but my Daz never came with a child model. When I did some researched, I found one forum that said to go to Product Library and download the Genesis Essential Pack. I did that; it gave me more adult models but no children models. Where do I get children models?

First, DAZ 3D is the company. It owns several softwares, amongs them DAZ Studio. I assume you are referring to Studio.

Second, children: When you load any given Genesis generation, what loads is always the adult. The child is always a morph for the adult, not a separate character.
For Generations G2, G3, G8, you have separate products to create a child morph, like these who provide great morphs: https://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=growing+up
I have never tried dialling in my own child shape using the shaping dials and base morph tabs, though.
The only exception is G1. Genesis 1 has a built-in child morph. Load Genesis 1, go to the shaping tap, go to Actor. You will find a morph called "Basic Child" there. If you need a baby, you can either use the morphs to dial down things further, or use this here: https://www.daz3d.com/baby-for-genesis
The only separat child is Kids 4, which is a generation before Genesis. Here's a bundle example of them: https://www.daz3d.com/the-kids-4-pro-bundle
