Vidal Braids Won't show Black

I remember seeing the fix for this a long time ago, but can't find it, or even remember if it was in the Daz forums.

When trying to render black hair for the Vidal braids.  They render white.  What's up?

are the textures applied? How are you installing the products; Manual or DIM?

I install everything with DIM.  Textures are applied by selecting the hair in Surface pane and clicking.
