Ambient colored objects do not light up pre render

When I load an object with ambient glow they don't show as lit until I actually render them. This results in some issues as I have to sample and resample my images to adjust ambient glow of said abjects. Skies apear black, because their base diffuse is black even though they're ambient glow is 100% Now I can't figure out if my Daz is broken, or there's some thing I have accidently turned on/off with an accidental touch of the keyboard but this needs to stop. Can anyone help?

In Iray the Interactive mode does not render emissive surfaces - if you use the Draw Settings pane to switch the mode to Photoreal it should work, though it will probably be slower too.
