Adding an Item to multiple Smart Content Products

Hi.  So I have been working through a lot of my third party content and adding the missing metadata to get these products to show in the Smart Content panel.  One thing I came across is where a product may have been designed for V4 and G2.  I have these as two seperate content products, but the props will only display in the V4 item and if I load up the G2 character and apply the G2 version outift I have no way to access the props through the Smart Panel.

Is it possible to have a prop item attached to two different content products?  Will the metadata work for only one or can it work for both?

1. Load the prop into the Content DB Editor, select the prop in the upper window.  

2. On the lower window, select the Compatibilty tab then the prop, right click select "Add Compatibilities to selected file(s)" 

3. On the "Select a Compatibility Base" window, scroll down and select Genesis 2>female, click Accept.
