Where to find morphs which I can apply to my "Pro Bundle" character?

Hey,

I see that there's currently a sale for Daz Originals and pro bundles (which I don't know how long it will last, if you have an idea please let me know) and I would like to buy a pro bundle and apply morphs to it, but I have no idea where to find these. For example I want to get Victoria 7, but find different body types / sizes and use them, any idea what should I look for on the store?

I already have one pro bundle and I am wondering if there is a point to buy more if I can just apply morphs to my existing character which will result in a completely different character.

  • The named characters are shapes and maps for that generation's base, so you can use the standard morph sets or other morph sets for that base with them - obviously not every combiantion of morphs will work, butt hat's true starting from the base figure too. The main benefit of the pro bundles is that they include a lot of suplementary content (clothes, hair, poses, and other characters built on top of the numbered character) so if you don't want those you could just get the base Whatever 7 character (assuming that's cheaper than the discounted bundle)

I actually plan to not use the hair and clothes and buy them from other packages. I am mainly looking to have a good start with a mesh that also has genitalia (I already have genitalia for Olympia 7 (Genesis 3) not sure if I can reuse that to other Genesis 3 characters).

So if I choose a pro bundle for example this one, where I can find morphs for it / or see if I can get the body mesh for cheaper (without clothes / hair because Im going to buy them from somewhere else) - https://www.daz3d.com/lilith-7-pro-bundle

That being said I saw a link to the basic mesh and Im wondering if I should get this instead and use the genitalia from my previous pro bundle, I wonder if they will match  https://www.daz3d.com/lilith-7

Also do you know the difference between Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 that recently came out? A friend of mine told me that he has genesis 2 and genesis 3 and the difference is their forwards are polar opposites of each other when they export, so I am afraid the same may happen with genesis 8.

Yes, if you got them from any of the G3F pro bundles you should be able to use them for all G3F adult bases.

No idea what you export to, but Genesis 8 uses the same technology as Genesis 3 (dual quaternion rigging and UDIM UV mapping), whereas Genesis1 and 2 used another system. So G8 is likely to behave the same as G3.

edit: And here are the base morph packs for G3F :

Well in that case I could just get the basic mesh without genitalia and reuse them here, right? https://www.daz3d.com/lilith-7

I want to be sure because if that doesn't work I will have to buy the pro bundle again...

Do you have any idea if the blendshapes (morphs) for eye movement and stuff like that are included with that package as well?

    Yes, that should work.

(oh and in case you don't know, there's a 30 days moneyback guarantee at DAZ).

Not sure what kind of morphs you're thinking of but eye movements should already possible with the base G3F.

Thanks for the replies, now I only need to know for how long that sale will last laugh

You might want to find these helpful: https://www.daz3d.com/help/help-daz-3d-video-tutorials

  • (I already have genitalia for Olympia 7 (Genesis 3) not sure if I can reuse that to other Genesis 3 characters).

FWIW, it's actually the other way round for this and all other similar products — they aren't made "for Olympia 7" (or any other Generation 7 character), they're made for Genesis 3 and include fits for Olympia 7 (plus, usually, several other Generation 7 characters). Genesis 3 is the base figure, the Generation 7 characters are add-ons.

You have the base mesh, Genesis 3 Base - Lilith 7 adds a new UV set (used only by the Lilith textures), a custom shape, and some corections for other morphs so that they play nicely with the Lilith 7 hsape (things like lips and eyelids where the stock morphs alone might leave gaps or cause intersection).

So basically the safest way to go if I want to have everything to go without problems is to buy the pro bundle and use the genitalia from that package, then buy additional clothes and hair? Basically what I care about is to have Lilith plus genitalia that matches for her body.

  • You don't need to buy more Pro Packs  - The anatomical elements (genitalia) in the one you have for Olympia 7 are the same thiing & will work on Lilith 7

If you just want the Lilith shape & her materials then get

    https://www.daz3d.com/lilith-7

You only need the pro bundle if you want the clothes, poses, hairs etc that are in it - If you won't use those things, just getting the base is usually cheaper

    Thanks!

  • Also, one last thing, when I am buying clothes / hair should I watch for the name of my character (Lilith) or if it's for Genesis 3 Female it will work nicely?

  • Pretty well all Genesis 3 content should work, though if Lilith 7 isn't listed as a supported shape you will be relying on the projected morph generated by DS which may not look good - there are several morphing tools, from SickleYield (help with upper and lower cleavage adhesion) and Zev0 (Fit Control) that can help.

I actually saw that I have Olympia 7 Genitalia Map inside the Materials so I don't know if that will work on Lilith 7, because I think her textures for the body are different.

Yes the textures are different. What Tottallou means is that the geograft which contains the anatomical elements and attaches them to the body are identical whether you bought the Olympia 7 Pro Bundle or the Lilith 7 Pro Bundle, so you don't need more than one Pro Bundle (unles you want all the hair, poses and clothing in the bundle). If you buy Lilith (https://www.daz3d.com/lilith-7) then you can load the Lilith figure, attach the anatomical elements, then apply the Lilith genitalia texture preset to them and they should match your figure. All the official Genesis 3 (adult) Female figures in the store (V7, Olympia 7, Lilith 7, Ophelia 7, etc) will have genital textures, you just need to make sure the one you apply matches the main body if you don't want any odd lines appearing.

  • Thanks everyone for the quick responses! I bought Lilith 7 and managed to apply the genitalia that I have, now I only need to find clothes and hair that the Decimator won't completely mess up laugh

  • Okay guys, last question - Can I somehow change the color of the body material? I bought this character as well and I only see dark skin body texture (even if I try to reuse some of the materials of Olympia/Lilith) https://www.daz3d.com/sunny-7-pro-bundle

  • With all of the characters? You haven't chnaged the lighting or render settings, and you are using the supplied presets for the render engine you are using (Iray or 3Delight) to apply the materials?

  • I won't actually render it inside Daz but I will export the FBX file, not sure how the skin color will look, I will test tomorrow, but I was just seeing similar results when I hit Render, so I thought the exports will be similar as well.
