Quick Question RE: Uber Shader

If I have an item with a transmap set as an emitter using the Uber shader, will it emit light only from the visible parts of the object? Or do I have to actually alter the object itself to conform EXACTLY to the shape of the part I want emitting light? Or is it somewhere in between (such as a special setting somewhere that controls which portions of the surface emit light)?

If the Cutout Opacity is zero it won't emit, but if it's even slightly over zero it will (that's how the Ghostlight products work).
So basically, any portion that has FULL transparency will not emit, but the rest will. Awesome, that actually makes things really easy for me; thanks so much! I really appreciate the info! :D
