Another Reinstall Question

Trying to move the content directory has just resulted in too much of a headache.  Since attempting to point DIM and Daz to the new path nothing downloaded after has shown up in either the content Library or the Smart Content.

While I'm loathe to do so, it's looking more and more like a complete reinstall, and pointing Daz to the new HD at the start is going to be the quickest way to go.  Either way my 1 TB C drive only has 7 GB left, the computer is laggy and something has to be done.

However before I do that, will an uninstall delete my saved scenes and characters, and is there anyway to save those someplace safe if it would?

Saved scenes will not be removed, nor will manually installed content. Saved scenes use relative paths, for content that was in a content diectory, so should still work afte a reinstall. An uninstall also won't remove preferences or the content directory list.

However, moving a content directory should not be such a problem - how was the content installed? Are you sure you are setting the folder with the Data and Runtime folders as the content directory? have you tried using one of Rob's script from the Samples page to match paths from DIM to DS or vice versa.

Haven't tried any of Robs scripts.   All my content was installed using DIM.
