Hello all,

I've actually bought the product "Selfie Stick and Smart Phone". I'm not really into it, but how can I place the phone in a hand of a genesis 3 female? The product info said it's compatible with it, but I can't use "Fit to" because it dosen't exist :(. How else can I solve this?

Moving your thread to New Users help forum, as it isn't a product suggestion.

The product comes with hand poses. Load the prop, use the hand pose. Check the folders for the poses here:

Thanks for the quick answere... but that still wasn't my question. I know that there are hand poses for it. But first of all, the item must be in the hand of my char. So, if I select the figure or even also just the hand (left or right) and load the prop, then it doesn't appear in the hand of the figure, it appears on ground level. And if I use the poses you suggests me to, then just only the hand of my char did change, but the phone still remains at ground level.

Well... you apply the pose to the hand. Then. you select the selfie stick, and in the parameter tab, use the dials to move the selfie stick so that it's properly in the hand.

Then, you probably want to parent it. Go to the scene tab. Right click. From the list, select "change parent to". Then a selection of the bones appears. Select the bone that is named "hand" (left or right, depending on which one you do the pose for). Make sure that "parent in place" is selected. Then click accept. The stick is now parented to the hand, and will move with it.

The phone would work the same if you want to put it in the G3 hand. (you also can parent hairs to the head with this method if you get weird results or lose movement after using "fit to".)

A word of warning - make sure you parent it to the G3 figure, not any clothing she's wearing.  Also, depending on what other poses you apply, the pose can become undone. In that case, reapply the grasp pose from the set.

Thx again, but well.... this isn't what I wanted to know. I know how to parent a prop or anything else... ok, not in the way you explained it now, but similar. Normally you can also make this via mouse cursor, holding left click on the prop and move it in the tree list to the position you want. That's the same effect. The prop belongs, for example to the hand and every movement you made to the hand, the prop stays in the hand then and moves with. That's ok.

But... I really have to use the axis controls of the prop to place it in the hand of a char? Isn't there another command instead of "Fit to" to bring the prop right there where I want to have it? Did I understand you correct, I must really.... really move the phone via X- , Y- and Z-axis towards my char's hand. Is that right?

Yes. The hard, cruel reality is that there appears to be no miracle shortcut... wink

EDIT: But you could go and save the "completed" pose as a pose preset, so that the next time you use the stick, you can just apply the selöf-made pose.
