Fitting male gens with cloth.....

Hello, just want to know if it's possible to fit cloth over the male gens.. I've worked some images and in some poses, the males looks like if they were "castratis" (like in the image). I added the male gens, to make it look more realistic, but they don't fit under the cloth.. (I', not putting an image for that, because it would be very grotesque) Does somebody knows a way to correct this?
Thanks!

Unless its like a loin cloth or something like that the best thing to do is use one of the Bulge morphs

If you need clothing that would fit the gens in a specific orientation you could commission someone to make clothing specific to your needs.

Or you can pain the clothing over the gens

Not sure why you'd need the genitals if they're being covered up. Unless you're doing close-ups on someone's junk and want to show the 'orientation' so to speak, it wouldn't add much to the scene anyway. Bulge morphs have you covered here and tend to look better anyway.

Not to sound crass but over the genital bulge or fully erect?

Or you can use "Magnets" if using Poser,

or if you're using DAZ Studio, the equivalent "Deformers" can be used to pull the clothing mesh into a shape that suggests what lies underneath.

Learning how to use "Magnets" or "Deformers" takes a little practice and some tutorials help but it's probably the "correct" way to handle this problem. And if the genitals are completely not visible through the cloth then there is no reason to even have the genitals on the model anyway. Just deform the cloth to give the illusion that there is "junk" under there. 8-o

Some clothes come with male bulge morphs built in, or there's these: http://www.sharecg.com/v/53770/

Fitting over the gens doesn't produce a realistic look because male genitalia are much more malleable than the 3d ones are, and fit into the shape of clothing rather than vice versa. The only time you really want to fit over gens is when you're showing an erection or a brief with removal morphs (such as DZheng's work), and those have morphs to do it inherently.

did you try adding a smoothing modifier to the pants and changing the parent to the genitals?

Just put a ball in there and collide the pants to it.
I think Michael 5 includes bulge morphs or you can also create yours in Hexagon or whatever. D-Formers would work too.

Just thought I would jump in and say I too have been wondering how to do this properly.

With females it seems the options are far more realistic on fitting clothes to breasts and gens. To the point that you can create very detailed renders with lingerie that is extremely suggestive without being 100% revealing. Nipples, cruves and all. The opposite doesn't seem true for male figures at all.

I understand most people do not want to see exquisite detail on the male anatomy like in the ridiculous Batman and Robin movie costumes, but I think there is still a legitimate reason to show more realistic bulges than just a big circle.

For instance I have been trying to work on a series of photo realistic modeling type renders showing guys and girl in different clothing types starting with swimwear as an example. Mainly just to help me with poses and lighting. Though the focus of these pics isn't the gens by any means, the female characters definitely have a sexier and more realistic look when you can see the forms of their nipples and gens under the swimwear. But male figures I have been trying to make all start to look like mannequins with no genitals. This is really apparent with briefs or boxers.

By trying to use the bulge adjustments in M5, yes you can sorta fake it, but it is far from realistic. Not to get too graphic here but the genitals are no different than a person's hands and react to clothing accordingly. All different shapes and sizes....to the left...to the right. LOL

The bulge morph just doesn't seem capable of much variation in those terms. So if anyone knows of better ways to fix this I would love to know.

Well... if you can link me to any photo resource (PM is fine) I can try to make briefs or boxers that fit more realistically. Mostly I have to work from underwear models, and it's seldom you see the outline of other than a bulge unless it's super tight spandex. I always do bulge morphs, and I've thought about doing more boxers and briefs for my own site.
