Gen 3 Character (face) to Gen 8

I have a few genesis 3 models that I would like to make into genesis 8, but I'm not sure how to convert them so that the faces remain intact. The current G3 models use addons that aren't (yet) available for G8, such as Gianni 7, so I'm not sure a conversion is even possible right now. If it is, how? If I have to hold off and wait for more G8 content to be released, I can do that. Thanks.
