I think you could put a map in the emission channel of the eye surfaces and it would show up.

  • Do you mean the "eyemoisture" or the "cornea"?

Eye moisture,,,there is a template for it in the G3F Template pack...it's 1008 in the templates.

    Here's a quick one...

  • Hmmm it doesn't seem to do anything. Here's what I tried:

1- Open the template in PS

2 - Add a layer and draw draw the sigil so it's centered on the eye

3- Remove the wireframed template layer and keep the sigil layer

4- Save the result as a transparent background picture (png)

    Then in DS:

1- Go to the Materials and select the Eyemoisture

2- Set it as Uber Iray Base

3- Set the map I created in the Emission channel

4- Set an emission color (here, vivid pink)

Nothing seems to show up in the final render. What did I do wrong?

    Not quite...

4- Save the result as a transparent background picture (png)

Save it with a BLACK background...and the sigil can be the color you want the light to be.  This is a control map...the black will be where there is no light, the white or colored areas are the light source.

4- Set an emission color (here, vivid pink)

Set the emission color to white (even if you haven't colored the map), then play around with the Luminance levels. Also set Two Sided Light to OFF. Make sure you have at least Dome and Scene selected in the Environment section of the Render Settings.

Erratum: I got it to work! Thanks a lot to the both of you! :D

I have done exactly as you said. Still, the sigil is a no-show. Also a question: if I set the emission to white then

how do I give the sigil a specific color? Assuming I manage to make it show up of course.
