LuxRender

Having problems getting this to work. I'm completely new to the daz3d program, so that's possibly a good supporting reason. I have the Luxus from the store. I have also downloaded LuxRender from its hosted website. I don't see any options to be able to render my scenes in daz3d with it tho. Any help for this noob would be greatly appreciated.

Go to your render settings tab. Scroll down to Render to: It should be set for Still image and select "image file" rather than new window. Name your render and below that select folder and create a new folder named "Luxus renders" or something similar. That is where your lux information files and your renders will go. Mine is in documents because then I don't have to hunt to far to upload them places.
Just below that is Render engine: Be sure that luxRender via Luxus is selected. Just below that will be path to LuxRender. Your going to navigate to the top lux folder where ever you installed it. Just below that is Use luxrender GUI. You want that turned on.
That should have you all set up for a lux render. When you hit render your going to get a little luxus window that is going to tell you it is exporting your files and then a minute or two later your going to have a new window pop up. That is the LuxRender window and that is where your going to see your image take shape. At first it will be just a bunch of crazy pixels but slowly it will turn into the image.
If your not getting a render make sure that you do have lux correctly located. If that isn't the issue then check and make sure you have lights and a camera in the scene. You must be looking through a created camera for lux to render. If you want the luxus lights they will be located in light presets under SphericLabs. If your doing an indoor scene the best bet to start out with is the area lights. Two flat planes will load in when you click that icon. Just trust me, they are lights.
I also strongly suggest you at least scan through the rather long thread on luxus here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/18543/
There are a few issues mentioned in the thread early on that have already been fixed.
