Is there a hair that performs well on upside down figures

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a hair that works well with upsidedown characters. Children on monkey-bars, prisoners in chains, gymnasts, etc. All of them I have use short hair because I can't get that "hanging down" look.

You probably want to invest in Girabaldi Hair System or Look at My Hair for those kinds of results.... assuming you don't want to model something for that specifically.

or if the hair product has good mat zoning then you can hide parts of the hair you don't want by setting Opacity to 0%
This is how I made this

Sylphiad Hair can be twisted and fanned in an upward and outward direction. I haven't experimented with it very much and don't know that it would work for somebody simply hanging upside-down, however if somebody was in motion nearly upside-down (you mentioned gymnastics) I believe it would work well. http://www.daz3d.com/sylphiad-hair

Perhaps the Fire Goddess Hair could be a solution.

If the real question is "Is there a hair that looks good whether the character is right-side-up or upside down?" the answer is No.
