How to turn off or reverse Emission

I made some surfaces in my scene emissive but post render...they look terrible and I'd like to put them back to how they were out of the box. I've looked all over and changed the emission settings in the surfaces tab but no help. I also tried looking in the textures folder for the set but I don't see the original texture there either.

Any help would be great

    If this is Iray, set the Emission color to black.

    Generally, you can select any of the other specific-purpose Iray shaders to turn off all of the emission. If that doesn't work, simple return the emission color to all-black. 

    There isn't a way to revert to your old texture maps unless you have the shader settings stored somewhere. If the shader was originally for 3Delight, you'll need to reply the original, and then convert back to an Iray shader.

    I still always forget to mention if I'm rendering in Iray or not! :P I'm sorry, yes I was talking about Iray and thank you both for the solution

    You could always load up the model again and either copy/paste the materials from it to the old one then delete the new one

    Or you can copy/paste the position of the old one to the new one and delete the old one.

  • Or if the item includes materials settings (some do, even if there's only one) simply re-apply it.
