Problem with something I have bought

Hello! I have bought a few items from DAZ Original which are environement. One is The Dream Home. They seems super nice, only when I load the scene, it does seems to load, but nothing I can see my window.

Helm would be very appreciated, thanks!

  • Dream Home pieces load in relation to the house as a whole (and it is quite large). You have to look around to find the individual rooms.

(Alternately all the eclectic pieces are just textures for the rooms. You have to have bought the room or the eclectic parts won;'t load.)

Thanks for your reply. Does that means I need the whole house fot it to work? Also, one room I have is loading, but the camera dont.

I actually have two rooms which are not loading at all. They are base room, not eclectic, and one where the camera won't work.

Some of the rooms are kind of hard to get a good shot if you don't have the next door room, but you don't neccessary need the whole house. Also you need a healthy computer to load the whole thing. There is a map (The basement is under the garage):

  • Alright... I can see the house from outside now. How I get to navigate inside the house?

  • Painfully. devil

Sorry, I usually loaded the furniture for the room then snapped to a piece of furniture, then look around. (And then create a camera where needed)

I see! Well, how do I snap to a piece of furniture then?

Click on the furniture in the scene tab (or a door, window, whatever in the room)

Then click on the camera focus in the Viewpoint window.

Once you start working in a particular room, start creating cameras (name them!)

  • You can also, if you want to centre part of the house (and aren't worried about joining it to others) use the Align pane - create a new Nul (Create>New Null), which will be at the origin, select it in the Scene pane, then select the room, then in the Align pane select Align Centres for the x and z axes and click the Align button.

Great! Allright, I got my room view set, I placed a camera. Now I am trying to do a test render and what it is rendering has nothing to do with my setting.

Can it be becuase I am in perspective view?

  • If you have multiple views up make sure your Camera View is selected. There's a color line around the view that renders.
