When I said I had imported V4 into DS4.5, I actually asked DS4.5 to import my mapped directories. Isn't that the same as just pointing the Content Manager to the DS3A Directory?
As for how slow it loads I can't help sorry. For me it takes a little quicker to load a fresh V/M/K4 in DS4.5.1.56 than it did in DS3A and I have a very low spec machine.
If I unmap my DS3A directories in DS4.5, and install V4 straight into DS4.5, along with Morphs ++, will it will cause any problems having her installed twice on my computer? albiet in different programmes.
I say this, as I have the core programmes on my 'C' Drive, along with V4,M4 and Genesis, but I have various runtimes that I just point to when I want to use them, on a separate external hard drive.
When you say be careful to install morph packs to both programmes, do you mean I MUST install morph packs to BOTH programmes?
You don't have to, but since each application is looking in a different location, if you don't install morph packs to both locations, you'll have different morph available in each. If you save a .daz scene or a .dsa preset in one which uses morphs that aren't in the other, then if you try to use it in the other app it won't match.

No need just point DS4.5 to your DS3A content folders as outlined here http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/11176/#160953
Thanks for responding so quickly.

Yes that is correct.

Hopefully others might have other options to try.

As long as each app only sees it once it won't cause problems -- just be careful to install any morph packs to both.
Thanks.

Thanks a lot for your help and quick response. I think I know what I am doing now, thanks again.
Thx mike for chipping in there. Had some visitors and I had to cook the evening meal. :)
Thanks Szark for your help as well.
