Troubleshooting pokethrough issues G8M Fixed Kinda

I've been having increasing issues with pokethrough with G8M and I think it is related somewhat to HD morphs, but even in t-pose clothing just isn't applying as smoothly as it did with genesis 3.
The clothing looks fine in preview but upon render it looks bad.
Yes, I can expand the clothing a lot, but the degree of expansion needed to make it go away is pretty high. I also have noticed the problem worsens when I dial in HD morphs. Smoothing doesn't improve it either.
Any thoughts?

Does the clothing have smoothing turned on?
Smoothing often is not enough with some HD morphs, the item will need a Push Modifier, set the offset to .05 initially as this a usually enough.
Smoothing is on and I added a manual smoothing modifier. I adjusted the shorts as well nearly 80 percent adjust but the pokethrough is still present and this is in t-pose. I will try the push mod but it should be able to handle the morphs there isn't much going on to cause an issue
First time I noticed something like that I thought it was just me, after all I've only recently been able to get back into Studio so there's bound to be a lot I've forgotten about. Now I'm thinking maybe it's part of the "autofit can't quite figure out what to do with this" thing that seems to be going on with Genesis 8 Male. There's no option to fit pants, just full body and that's hit or miss. Mostly a miss, from what I've found so far -- it just froze up halfway thru a conversion and mangled Cody Hair when I tried putting it on G3M with Dylan HD morphs applied. But there was no problem converting Simple Short Hair for example. And I still cannot put shoes on him even though others have reported some success, again because autofit apparently has no clue about that. I think he's the only Genesis figure that cannot even borrow shoes from it's opposite gender. I mean, G3M can wear G3F shoes (even heels) and vice versa, so can Genesis 2M borrow Genesis 2F's pants and shoes. But not poor G8M, though G8F seems to have no trouble raiding his rather limited closet since all of her autofit options seem to be present. I think he needs an update. Either that or Studio's autofit needs fixed, though I haven't had much trouble with it on my other Genesis figures, just this one.
I get pokethrough on most of my gen 8 guys. If I adjust the fit huge they work but look unnatural. I agree not sure why there are fewer fit options. There so far isn't a lot available for gen 8 so the body morphs i am using aren't anything weird. It is usually easier to fix in Photoshop but these problems aren't showing in the viewport.
No, they look just fine in the viewport. Hit Render and suddenly you find he is now publicly indecent due to moths having eaten holes in his pants. They tend to go for the crotch area, possibly because he seems to be always packing, even though there is no bulge morph applied.
Agreed most of the pokethrough is there but I'm perplexed why because there isn't much going on in that region. Half the time even when I dial a bulge the clothing looks kinda Barbie and he morphs aren't really prominent in that region. Makes me wonder if g8 male which really is nothing more than a retooled G3 figure has issues in that area. Designing stuff from the female mesh is problematical
There's this very ancient legend that the male was made first and later from that mesh came the female. Seems to have worked pretty well, all things considered. Maybe they oughta try doing it that way with Genesis 9 ... or whatever number it leaps to next.
Basing one figure off of another gender never really worked out well. You can tell by the odd small hands that Michael 8 is based on the female shape. In this case if as much attention was paid to the male groin fit as was to the breast fit of the female characters I would certainly be a lot happier!
Me too. Ain't never gonna happen, though. The universe begins and ends with boobs.
I tried pushing the shorts away from the body but don't see a way to do this in small increments. The push modifier default is too much push and makes the shorts blow up unnaturally.
The amount of the push is adjustable...it loads at a default value of 1 (that's 1 cm), so dropping it down to 0.1 or less would a good starting point.
Thanks. I didn't know the push modifier could be altered. I see how to do that now, and yes that does appear to improve the fit. Thanks a lot.
