Genesis..What and where

I am NOT a nubie to 3D but YES I am a nubie to Daz and Genesis...What is Genesis, is it a app, is it in DAZ, is it a seperate app..Where do I find the functional

element of Genesis, I know these questions may sound dumb to some but I dont think I am looking in th right places...So any help is appreciated...I want to get

back into designing again since giving up POSER 9 and 10...Thank you

Genesis is the name given to the line of figures created by Daz and used in Studio. The latest iteration is Genesis 8. The base figures are free easily downloaded and installed in Studio if you use DIM (Daz's download manager).  Look for Genesis 8 Female (or Male) Starter Essentials.

Characters such as Michael, Victoria and others are based and require the base figure from which they come.
