*~(Resolved)~* Can someone please explain Daz Shopping Cart math to me?

The attached image shows my shopping cart, with me trying to make use of today's deal.
50% off the first item because there is a combination of at least 2 qualifiying items.

Second, third and fourth items should all be 50% off + 20% off + 10% off.

Now lets take it all aprt and see how the math is not adding up (or in this case multiplying)

Item # 1 = Correct : 50% of $17.95 = $8.98
   Item # 2-4 are where things get strange because they do not combine together to creat the correct discout

Items 2-4 total $64.85 before discounts (the math comes out identical as individual items or grouped)

$64.85
50% off = $32.42
20% off = $25.94
10% off = $23.35 (rounded up)
$23.35 + $8.98 = $32.33

$32.33 =/= shopping cart total of $34.99

 

This makes me wonder how many times I have been overcharged a couple of dollars...

    I'm certain that the math all works out, James. It is probably the combination of categories that those items in your cart represent that explain the difference between what you are paying and what you believe you should be paying. Without a screenshot of your cart, showing the individual items and their individual discounts, it is impossible for anyone to say. I did read through all of the "buy one of these and get this off of one of those" stuff on the sale page, and by the time I was done it made my head hurt trying to keep track of all the this's and that's. That has to be one of the most convoluted promos I've seen yet. Its like filling out an income tax return, and we all know how much everyone likes doing that. Maybe DAZ hired a bunch of retirees from your internal revenue service to dream these sales up?

    No it does not!

    As was stated above Item 1 has the correct discount of 50% off becasue it is a new item for the day and there is at least one item from the other qualifying catagories in the cart.

    • $17.95 discounted 50% down to $8.98

    The next three items are from the featured artsit catalogs that get the maximum discount of 50% + 20% + 10% off which equals 64% off (as stated at the top of the promo page)

    • $21.95 discounted 64% should be $7.90 : Instead the shopping cart is showing $5.53 (75% discount.  This one started with a higher discount in the store to begin with, probably because of PC+ and it having DazO as one of the artists)
    • $14.95 discounted 64% should be $5.38 : This one is correct at 64% off
    • $27.95 discounted 64% should be $10.07 : Instead the shopping cart is showing $15.09 (46% discount) *** This one seems to be the one causing the issuse ***

    You have to be a rocket scientist to use the Daz sales and promotions. Why the hell do they make it so damn complicated.

    Another peeve I have, is trying to use the Daz coupons I have for being a PC member. Most of the stuff I buy won't accept the coupons, and for the life of me I can't figure out why. Annoying.

    The PlatClub code is good for Daz originals (items that list Daz as a vendor) that aren't PC items.

    The Save coupon is good for anything that isn't new (according to the flash at top-right of the thumbnail/main iamge), as long as the items add up to $18 or more.
