Should I use only Genesis 8 content, or may I mix & match?

Okay, here is my first of what may possibly become several stoopid newbie questions:
Do you recommend that I stick to only Genesis 8 content (character, morphs, etc.) or is it possible to mix & match content? (Mis Genesis 8 with Genesis 3, etc.)

There's content you can mix more or less easily (like clothing, hair, props), and some that are more difficult (skins, poses, shapes).
But generally, mix and match is fine. It's kalled "kitbashing", and most of us do it. You can also just have different generation characters in a scene, and that is usually not a problem at all, looks wise.
However, most of the older content is created for 3Delight or Poser, so you might need to do some conversion or tweaking to make it look good in Iray.
EDIT: Here's a useful thread for moving content around between generations: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/64403/converting-to-g1-g2-g3-g8/p1
Ok, mixing complete characters (a Genesis 3 character on Genesis 3 withe a Gen8 on Gen8) within a scene is certainly doable, for that matter, mixing any generation characters that way is fine. Trying to mix moprhs from one generation on another, while doable, is not an easy process (even with the various add-ons to make the process easier). Mixing clothing and props is somewhat easier with autofit, which has improved dramatically since it was first released.
