Improving computer for use with Daz

Hi all,
I have a fairly recent computer, with an I74790 CPU, 3.60Ghz, 16 Go RAM, and NVida GeForce GT610 graphic card.
When I render stills in Daz it takes all my CPU power, and quite some time.
I've been trying to render a very small - my first - animation, with lots of lights and shadows ( I know that's aggravating) and it's been going on for nearly 3 days now.
I know there are some things in rendering setup that I can improve. But still, I feel like my computer could use a boost.
What do you think would be key for programs such as Daz or Blender, and what improvements would you suggest, on the smallest possible budget ?
Thanks

Replace the video card with a 1070 or 1080, with the most memory you can afford (like an 11 GB 1080).
Daz doesn't rely mostly on CPU ?
3Delight is CPU-only, Iray can use GPU.
Okay, and I render with Iray.
My CPU still seems used at 100% by every render, but I suppose that could change if my GPU has enough RAM ?
Or maybe there are settings I should change for that ?
The GPU you have now is only 48 CUDA cores and 1GB RAM, so it probably isn't being used at all by Iray.
The problem is that that 610 is most likely NOT being used...what does it have in the way of memory? If it's less than 4 GB, then it's probably being dropped quickly.
Ok, this would explain that then.
And boosting it would make for faster renders ?
Yes, as long as it was a supported nVidia card and as long as the sceen fitted into the card's memory (4GB is pretty much the minimum, more is nice to have for even moderately complex scenes).
One other thing to consider -- make sure you're running the 64-bit version of DAZ Studio (assuming you're running a 64-bit operating system). The 32-bit version of any software is only capable of addressing 4GB of system memory, irrespective of how much physical memory is installed in the machine. Beyond that, the operating system resorts to the paging file, and that eats up compute cycles like you would not believe!
