Old content acting strange in DS 4.6.3.52...

I'm using DS 4.6.3.52 Pro Edition on a Win8 box. I also use DS 2.3.3.146 on a Win7 box (yes, I'm old).
I mostly use Gen 3 and earlier figures; they were my go-to in 2.3, and thus far they seem to behave themselves in 4.6. However, I've run into a problem with the CatsuitPM for Aiko 3: when I load the catsuit and fit it to Aiko, something strange happens with the left and right buttocks per the attached screengrab. I don't appear to have this problem with the regular catsuit, but I'm using the PM version because it was easier to draw the texture I had designed onto the PM version's texture map.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

A friend asked me about this a while back, early DS4.5 iirc, going from my notes there is something not quite right about the buttock groups in the mesh, worked fine in DS1 to 3 and Poser, but DS4 just doesn't like the mesh, as a result none of the morphs on the left or right buttock work.
Spent a couple of hours yesterday over at one of my friends, she has the catsuit so I got to look at it, doesn't work in 4.9 either.
Loaded it into Hexagon and both buttock groups are showing as having sub groups, which is why DS4 is having problems.
I then opened the OBJ in a text editor so I could check out WTF was going on, after a bit of searching through the groups I found the problem, quick fix and test later and it was working in 4.9.
Open the blAikobodysuitPM.obj in a text editor (one with a find function would be best).
In here you are looking for two lines
g lButtock hip
g rButtock hip
remove the space and hip from both lines so they read
g lButtock
g rButtock
then save the changes (not save as).
The morphs should work after that fix.
Would appear UVMapper was having problems with all of the material zones across multiple groups, and named those two wrong. No one noticed because Poser would take that space after Buttock to mean end of line and would ignore the hip, same thing with with DS1, 2 and 3.
HUZZAH!!!!! It fits Aiko like a (body) glove once again!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Now that is some serious working under the hood. I've mucked about in content files (CR2, PP2, PZ2, etc.), but beyond playing around with re-mapping I haven't poked around in OBJs at all.
Again, thanks for the help. :-D
